Servant First, Warrior Second: Teaching Criminal Justice with a Franciscan Focus

Presentation

College graduates entering the contemporary work force are expected to be able to function effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds. The Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities has even developed a new “Train the Trainers” curriculum in order to promote building intercultural competence on Catholic college and university campuses. This session shares strategies for integrating the Catholic Franciscan Tradition into criminal justice courses by infusing conversations about diversity and multiculturalism with specific Franciscan Values.
